We stayed at Qualia on Hamilton islands.

Do you know about Qualia on Hamilton island? Only a few people this place in Japan but it is the luxurious resort in Australia which is situated on the Great Barrier Reef.
Hamilton island Enterprises Ltd. operates public hotels and motels. They provides dinners and cocktail parties, dining, bars, adventures, sailing, fitness, beach swim, shops, conference and so on.
There are six hotels in Hamilton island. We are going to introduce the “Qualia” to you that was selected as one of the top 10 hotels in the world.

Arrived at Hamilton airport ～ Check in Qualia

When you arrive at the airport, there are not boarding bridge there because it is a small island. You can go in the building on foot after landing. On way to concourse, you can find their bell desk. You could get a wet towel and still water there. We headed to hotel by a luxury car. Also, our two pieces ofluggage carried by staff from the airport to hotel.

Here is a bell desk for Qualia. He greeted four guests warmly today. We were very happy when we checked our name. Thank you very much for their hospitality☺

As soon as we arrived at Qualia, a staff gave us champagne. Then we went to Long pavilion to check in and our room driven buggy by a staff.

A room: Leeward Pavilion

In Qualia, our room that we stayed was Leeward Pavilion this time. It was very spacious for us.
Our room was very nice as below. They never fail to meet our expectations since their suggested us a bottle of wine(special offer for honeymoon),free drink, Aesop, this comfortable room and nice view.

You can move not only premises but also island by buggy. You also need to bring your driver’s license.
You do not apply for an international one. All hotels guests excepts Qualia have to borrow the buggy for a fee but guests for Qualia is free one buggy per room.

Dinner ＠Pebble Beach

We headed to Pebble beach by buggy. All plates including fishes, meats and deserts were very nice taste. Please pay attention to the dress code(smart casual).

We ordered six oysters natural, chargrilled cuttlefish,1KG cape grim tomahawk, rum and coconut, bananarama, chocolate smooth. We liked six oyster natural especially, so we ordered two days in a row.
Also, 1KG cape grim tomahawk was very very good but we had too much. This one was share plate…please care about it.

We were surprised that this dinner was AUD245 but we only needed to pay only drinks AUD24 + tips.
When you check out, you have to pay all. You can decide how much you will pay as tips and you supposed to sign as below receipts.

Morning ＠Long Pavilion

Breakfast come with a fruit platter and drinks, and you can choose one from the menu.
It is includes with every accommodation plan, so there is no payment. There were no mention of the amount in the menu table.

Qualia information

• There is a transfer from the airport to the hotel. The staff will collect your luggage and bring it to your room.

• They will come to collect your luggage before you check out. After check out, they will pick you up at the airport and you can hand over them at the airport.

• Even though you apply for the activity separately, the Qualia staff knows everything. Even if you do not ask them, they call un extension number and they tell us “please come to Long pavilion by XX”
  When you finish activities, they will wait for you with their car to bring you to a hotel.

• There is a Gourmet Package rate plan with dinner(drinks not included) . If you have a dinner, we recommend the package plan because you can enjoy many dishes. If you stay longer at Qualia, you can have dinner another restaurants on island. However, we recommend to make a reservation for dinner in advance.
  
• You do not have to carry your wallet since you can pay only show your room key when you check out.
  
• A free buggy for Qualia is included.
  
• There is no Japanese staff here, so if you cannot speak English at all, we think it is tough.
  One Japanese staff is stationed at the Reef View hotel on the island. Even Qualia guests could consult with us. It takes about 10 minutes by buggy from Qualia to Reef View.
  
• You can book from 2nights or more but we recommend at least 3 nights or more to enjoy Hamilton island. We could not use the hotel activities at all this time because we only stayed for 2 nights. That is why we would like to stay there over 3 nights next time.

• Qualia caters to guest 16 years and older.

• Qualia polo shirts can be purchased at boutiques. It has an excellent breathability and it is comfortable to wear.

• Drinks in the refrigerator are free and will be replenished when cleaning twice a day, so you can drink a lot if you want. We do not know about alcohol whether it is free or not.
  
• Leeward Pavillion’s gourmet package costs AUD1,770 per night but you can get the best service.

• All of the food was delicious and perfect.
  
• Check out takes some time, so you can enjoy conversation with the hotel staff.
